It’s always a fun night – make a note for the diary

Due to the covid 19 pandemic we have been unable to raise funds for our various activities. We have however, assisted with dry ration packs, continued with the scholarship program, provided children in a number of plantations with exercise books, colour pencils and pens. More details will be included in the December newsletter.

If you’d like to host a dinner party, high tea or host your own fundraiser to support the work of Network Heaven then please do so. Anne would love to hear from you.

Due to covid 19 Mums’ of the creche kids have lost their jobs – July 2021

In late July 2021 we were able to arrange dry rations for 40 families at a cost of A$11 per package. Each bag consisted of 3kg red rice, 2kg dhaal, 2kg flour and 1 pkt of (400gm) milk powder. Sister Florella appreciated the donation and assured me the women will be pleased to receive this gift as I am told many only have one meal a day.

Distribution of reading glasses – September 2020

I received a donation of new reading glasses from a company in Sydney. A friend in Sri Lanka organised the distribution of these with the help of a group of opticians who volunteered to test residents from two housing estates on the outskirts of Colombo in September 2020.
